Legal online poker states

Five poker rows are live. Three more are legal on paper and not launched in our file. A shared-liquidity line does not add the other states, and Nevada is poker-only.

What each poker cell actually says

Split = the row note and the Oct 14 page fetch disagree. We do not flatten that into “in the pool.”

Three answers the count hides

Delaware’s row calls it an MSIGA founding signatory. New Jersey’s row says member, but the permit PDF and DGE pages saved on 14 October 2026 do not print the word. Nevada’s row says founding signatory; Regulation 5A, Rev. 02/26, defines an inter-operator poker network and does not print MSIGA. A green “live” chip is not a shared table.

Pennsylvania’s certificate file prints poker on some types lines and one shared-liquidity line with no URL (noted 7 April 2026 on that file). Membership is not every skin in one pool. We do not turn that file into a brand list. Cards, if we hold them: Pennsylvania online poker.

West Virginia’s poker row stays legal-not-live. The statute allows interactive table games and defines peer-to-peer as poker, but the Lottery roster does not split poker from slots. A Michigan release that names West Virginia does not upgrade our WV cell. Connecticut and Maine include poker in statute and have no licensed operator in the notes we store.

Sequence

After you find your seat

  1. Step 01

    Open the postal poker catalogue

Use /en/online/nv/poker/ or /en/online/nj/poker/. The state name in the path is not the door.

  2. Step 02

    Read Nevada as poker-only

Regulation 5A.140: no wager except poker and approved derivatives. See /en/guides/online-poker-nevada/.

  3. Step 03

Do not treat paper as a download

CT, ME, and WV are legal-not-live. A statute that names poker is not an operator roster.

A 90-second guide cannot cover every table moment. Tap a group, then a question — answers are short paragraphs, not one-liners.

01Poker cells

How many states have legal online poker?

Five live cells in the poker matrix checked 13 October 2026: Delaware, Michigan, New Jersey, Nevada, and Pennsylvania. Connecticut, Maine, and West Virginia are legal on paper and not confirmed live. The other jurisdictions are not-legal. Five is not “a national site you can open from anywhere.”

Does a shared pool mean I can play from any state?

No. Delaware’s row notes an MSIGA founding signatory. Pennsylvania’s file prints a shared-liquidity line with no URL, and that line is not every skin. New Jersey and Nevada row notes say member or founding signatory, but pages saved on 14 October 2026 do not print MSIGA. You still have to be in a live state. A Michigan release that names West Virginia does not make West Virginia live.

Is Nevada a full online casino state because poker is live?

No. Nevada Regulation 5A.140 says an operator shall not accept a wager on any game other than poker and its approved derivatives. The casino row is not-legal. Age on the poker row is 21. See Is online poker legal in Nevada?
